JYP: Joining You with Physics

against the gradient...
Since July 2020, the Journal of Young Physicists has grown from a small student blog into an international platform for young people interested in physics and related sciences. We have published over 100 articles to date and built a team of more than 30 young physicists from around the world.
Our aim is simple: to popularize physics and to support the growth of young physicists. We welcome submissions that explain known ideas in an engaging way, as well as more technical pieces, original projects, research-style articles, computational work, experimental reports, and interdisciplinary submissions. Over time, the JYP has become a space where school students, undergraduate students, and even graduate students can share serious work while still keeping the spirit of curiosity that started the platform.
Our scope has widened significantly over time. We publish work that applies physical reasoning to a broad range of questions - from traditional physics (astrophysics, cosmology, quantum mechanics, etc.) to more recent and interdisciplinary areas such as complex systems, biological physics, medical science, AI, and environmental science. Some pieces are written for general readers, while others are more technical and aimed at students who want to go deeper.
Any young physics enthusiast is welcome to get involved. You can join our team, submit as an independent contributor, or simply read our articles and explore physics. All submitted articles go through plagiarism screening and editorial review before publication. Our long-term hope is to keep building the JYP into a serious, welcoming platform where young students can learn, write, question, and share their scientific ideas with the world.
